Just Come on By
If you’re looking for a new church home, or you’re just visiting family and friends, come on by and be our guest. We hope you come to experience the presence of God and see what God is doing at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Here is some helpful information:
When Do We Meet?
We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at:
8:00am – Traditional Lutheran Liturgy. We have communion at this service on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays.
9:15am – Guitar-led service. We have communion at this service every Sunday.
10:30 am – Traditional Lutheran Liturgy led by choir and organ. We have communion at this service on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays.
What Should I Expect?
Our congregation is gathered around Word and Sacrament each Sunday, and each service lasts about 60 minutes (fewer for the 9:15am). We practice an open table for communion, which means that everyone is welcome. Yes, that means you, too. We have coffee hour after our 10:30am service for a time of refreshments and conversation to catch up with friends and make new ones!
What Should I Wear?
At Good Shepherd we focus on Christ. There’s no need to dress up and most members and attendees dress casually. Though, if you’d like to dress up, no one will bat an eye. Wear what helps you focus on Jesus.
What About The Kids?
Children are welcome in worship. They don’t even have to be still or quiet — they are welcome as they are. Though, we have a nursery if the littlest ones need some breathing room. We provide Sunday School during the 10:30 am service for children from the age of 3 to 5th grade. Your child’s morning will begin in the sanctuary, and after the Children’s message, they will be invited to go to Sunday School. The classroom lessons that follow nurture a child’s faith in a positive, safe learning environment. Your middle schoolers can gather in the Youth Room with the middle school youth for fun and games beginning right at 10:30am.
